Winning artworks

The fourth year of the international glass contest Sanssouci Junior Glass Match took place in Spa Resort Sanssouci in Karlovy Vary between 8 and 10 April 2011. Atotal of 64 students of 14 secondary schools, colleges and universities from the Czech Republic, Hungary, Polandand, Slovakia took part. There were 28 contestants from all of the Czech Republic in the younger students category and 36 students from four countries in the older students category. The prizes were awarded during a ceremony on Saturday 09 April 2011.

2nd place: Tomáš Ondroušek, Academy of Fine Artsand Design in Bratislava
3rd place: Kim Seul Jee, Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague

Younger students category (secondary schools)
1st place: Sebastián Kitzberger, Secondary Schoolof Applied Artsfor Glass making in Valašské Meziříčí
2nd place: Marie Peerová, Secondary School of Applied Artsfor Glassmaking in Železný Brod
3rd place: Jakub Farkota, Secondary Technical and Apprentice School in Třeboň

Prize for craftsmanship

Jiří Kapr, Secondary School of Ceramic sand Glass in Karlovy Vary

The authors of the awarded works received valuable prizes donated by Imperial Karlovy Vary, a.s. All works were exhibited during the contest in the premises of Spa Resort Sanssouci. A selection of contest exhibits was exhibited in the SunGallery in Karlovy Vary until 15 July 2011.
